A FEW WORDS FROM OUR SPONSOR Many people know that Mr. Radz Homebrew is the only homebrew shop here in town. But it hasnt always been that way. Every now and then I get a customer who asks about that sweet and lovable old man Tom O'Leary that sold homebrew supplies out of his house behind the Showboat Hotel that he called Budgie Meister. Well guys, he's here. And we are so pleased to have him here at Mr. Radz. Occasionally on Thursday afternoons you can come in for some great conversation and lots of homebrew information with Tom. I think you'll all agree with me when I say that the only thing missing is the dart board. For any of you that know Tom, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Who knows, maybe we can bribe him to bring it in. As long as you don't use the birds for target practice. For those of you that don't know Tom, well, stop by, He's a lot of fun and he's also highly recommended by president of SNAFU Bob Barnes, among others. Oh, and bring him a beer. I heard him say he works better for a beer. Don't forget about your coupons and discounts in the Mr. Radz newsletter. The coupons save you 15% and we have three specials a month. If you like our box kits June 8th is when to come in. Buy one, save $3.00 on the next. And on the last note, I want opinions. One of my venders recently sent me something that may or may not be a good idea. You be the judge. Powdered Fruit. This stuff isn't for brewing though. Say you make a Wheat beer, and your wife doesnt like it. She tries to talk you into brewing one of those fruit beers but you dont like those and don't want to waste a whole batch of beer by putting fruit in it. Now comes the powdered fruit. Just add a tablespoon to a glass of beer, stir very slowly, and VIOLA'... raspberry wheat surprise! What do you think? Let me know next time you come into the store. Until next month... Trust No One... without beer. Tonya Stonebraker |
